A little behind the scenes at Hayes House — with our newest (and smallest) team member in tow. 🤍
From client meetings and construction site visits to sourcing materials and visiting showrooms, no two days look quite the same.
While so much of what we share is the finished product, the real work happens in all the moments in between. The conversations, collaboration, thoughtful decisions, and countless details that bring a home together.
And every once in a while, we get to share a little of that world with Emerson.
A little glimpse into the people, process, and everyday life behind Hayes House.
This custom marble floor pattern deserves a post of its own. A bold moment underfoot in the foyer, setting the tone from the moment you enter the home. One of those details that defines the entire space.

A first look at our West Newton project as it nears the finish line. Modern French-inspired interiors, layered with a sculptural design thread and a quiet sense of drama. A few final details to go before we reveal the rest.

Every custom home starts on paper. Sketches, plans, pages of details before a single wall goes up.
Then it becomes real. Framing takes shape, finishes get chosen, the vision turns into a house you can walk through.
The result is a home that started as an idea and became something you love to live in.

One shapes the foundation of the space. The other brings in the layers that make it feel finished.
At Hayes House Co., we love when we get to do both — because when the finishes, fixtures, furniture, art, and styling are all considered together, the entire home feels intentional from the start.
Onboarding with Hayes House Co starts with one thing: getting to know you.
In part one of our new series, Co-founder Collin breaks down the onboarding process, starting with discovery. We take the time to understand who you are as a client: what you want, what you need, and how you want your home to feel. From there, we get clear on where your key investments should go, setting the direction for everything that follows.
Stay tuned for PT.2!

Bathrooms are never an afterthought with us.
Fluted marble sinks, moody wallpaper powder rooms, warm wood vanities, arched stone showers still mid build. Brass fixtures throughout, because they only get better with age.
The result is a collection of spaces that feel just as considered as the rest of the home.
We`re in the finishing stage of this Tudor revival home, and excited to give you a sneak peek inside.
Tudor character carries through every space, from the finishes in this bathroom to the custom details throughout. Soon, we`ll be installing custom built-ins with a secret Murphy door disguised as a bookcase, so no one will know there`s a hidden room behind it.
The primary bedroom ceiling was a true collaboration between our team, the builder & the architect, pushed up to fifteen feet and finished with Venetian plaster.
The result is a home that honors its Tudor roots while still surprising you.
Project: Newton, MA

A look into the renderings for one of our latest designs, almost complete.
Warm oak floors, soft plaster archways, and brass detailing carry through every space — from the living room to the primary suite. This one is shaping up to be a favorite.
More to come as it comes together.

The outside sets the tone. The inside tells the story. ✨
From the architecture to every thoughtfully selected finish, we believe a home should feel cohesive from the moment you pull up to the moment you walk in.
Designed with intention, down to the last detail.

Our "yes" in interior design. 🤍
Natural materials that age beautifully. Timeless architecture that won`t feel dated in ten years. Statement lighting that acts like art. Custom millwork you can`t get off the shelf. Details that tell a story. Paint colors with real depth. And above all, homes that feel personal, not staged.
The result is a house that feels like it was always meant to be lived in.

This primary bath is where every material decision finally comes together. 🏡
Calacatta Crema tile runs floor to ceiling, wrapping the shower and framing a 71” freestanding tub with those soft curvy details we love. The floating vanity is white oak, hand fluted, with a wall mounted brass faucet that keeps the whole wall clean. Natural stone carries the backsplash right up behind the tub, and the tray ceiling picks up the same fluted trim work you’ll find throughout the house.
The result is a space that feels calm and collected, not overdone. Every brass fixture, every curve, all working together.
Seamless does not happen by accident.
Our clients came to us wanting a material driven bathroom oasis, so we introduced microcement as the foundation. No grout lines, no interruption, just a smooth envelope wrapping the wet room. The integrated niche and floating bench add function without visual clutter. Matte black fixtures ground the palette, and the fluted wood and soapstone soften it back down.
The result is a room that reads calm before you can name why.

Design meeting days are our favorite.
This is where ideas turn into real decisions. Finishes get chosen, layouts get finalized, and the direction of the whole project comes together.
The result is a home that was thought through long before construction started.
